I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I later received an M.A. in Education from the University of the Pacific. Since then, I have been a faculty member of East Palo Alto Charter School where I taught 5th Grade, served as Dean of Instruction, and as Assistant Principal. I am also concurrently a Cooperating Teacher (Mentor Teacher) for the Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP). During the summer, I work as an Academic Coach for Aim High in Redwood City, CA where I help middle school teachers further develop their craft. I am thrilled to be able to tutor such bright and committed students preparing to enter middle school. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy riding my bike, playing piano, and spending time with my family.
